HOW TO PACK FOR YOUR TREKKING & CAMPING TRIP

As the holidays begin, so does our fantasy to be nomadic. Dreaming of traveling the world within these few days is all we care about. Days after days are spent planning the trek, thinking about climbing those rocky hills feels worth the efforts as you reach the peak and lie down under the sky full of stars. As the day arrives, the excitement and nervousness are also at the peak and its common to forget most of the things while packing your bag. Especially when you are a late bag packer like me. And if you don’t want to miss anything you might want to make a checklist to keep things in order. But there are few things most of us sometimes forget to include in our checklist. So, be it an experienced trekker or just a beginner. Here’s the list which you need to be ready with when you start planning for a trek or backpacking.

TREK DIFFICULTY

Always check the trek difficulty level before planning. As a beginner always choose an easy trek to start with and then take it further to another difficulty level.

BE PHYSICALLY FIT

Prepare yourself days before the trek. Go for jogging or brisk walk, do some exercise and stretching.

DON’T RUSH, ENJOY

If you have planned a holiday then try to enjoy it too. Don’t just run, be slowly and admire nature.

LISTEN TO YOUR GUIDE

Your guide knows it better than you, try to listen to him and follow his steps. If you are traveling alone then take guidance from locals.

SLEEP WELL AND EAT WELL

Before trek, be sure you are prepared not just physically but mentally as well. So, eat healthy and get at least 6-7 hours sleep to feel refreshed.

BUILD CONNECTION

Either travelling solo or with a group, initiate a conversation with your fellow trekkers and locals. You’ll be surprised to know some less known fact about a place or people and maybe get some inspiration too.

KEEP IT CLEAN

Collect all waste in a cover, don’t just dispose of it anywhere. It’s really important and impressive when you act responsible.
